The TM16s were designed by Tony Miceli and Leigh Stevens. They are designed to have a percussive attack that will help when playing with ensembles. The sound will cut through the band.
After working with Balter Mallets for several years Tony wanted a version of his Balter Mallet but he wanted to change a couple things. These sticks are the result of those changes. He added sparkle tape for his own pleasure as it’s really fun to see your sticks sparkling under stage lights!
These mallets are designed to work with ensembles. Usually mallets are to soft, or there is not a pronounced attack. Without the attack it’s very difficult for the sound to cut through the band, the drums, cymbals, bass etc. Tony wants the attack of the mallet to help the player’s music reach the audience.
